Review: The Inn at Welland

When we were staying in Malvern for the weekend I wanted to book a pub for a really good roast dinner on the Sunday. Roasts are my favourite meal and I like a really well executed roast dinner. I did a bit of research in the local area to Malvern and came across The Inn at Welland.

What I liked about The Inn at Welland was that they have won awards such as MICHELIN Bib Gourmand and an AA Rosette Award for Culinary Excellence. The website was really professional and the pub looked beautiful. So I was assured that the roast dinner would be of a high quality.

When we arrived we were quickly seated even though we were early. There was also plenty of parking at the pub, which is important as its located in a rural area on a country lane.

The chairs we were seated on where big and comfy and the surroundings were beautiful, well decorated and still had a cosy feel. They had an extensive drinks menu, including a hotel chocolat velvetised hot chocolate – I would really recommend trying this if you don’t have a velvetiser at home.

The food and service at The Inn at Welland were exceptional. I ordered a roast beef and it lived up to my high expectations. I also had a sticky toffee pudding for desert. All the portions were the perfect size, had a beautiful taste and really well presented.

I would love to go back on another day to try their normal main menu instead of their Sunday menu to see what they are like.

If you are looking for a high quality roast dinner in the Malvern Hills area, I would look no further than The Inn at Welland. I would rate them a 5 stars.

Rating: 5 out of 5.
