If you are looking for a classy, elegant and tasty meal in Barcelona then Cecconi’s restaurant is for you! Cecconi’s serves classic Italian cuisine, including hand made pasta, seafood and North Italian dishes.
With an ideal location near to Las Ramblas it is easy to find and get to. As you walk into the restaurant you will notice the beautiful architecture that the building has to offer with high vaulted ceilings and an art deco vibe.
I started my meal with a beautiful cocktail called Flavum which is a twist upon the classic Pornstar Martini. For main course I had the Rigatoni Bolognese which is potentially one of the best Bolognese’s that I have ever eaten. The sauce was rich and flavourful, and there was just the right ratio of pasta to sauce. For desert I had the profiteroles which were three huge profiteroles and instead of having a cream filling, they had a salted caramel ice cream filling. This was a shock at first as I was expecting cream and not freezing ice cream, but once my teeth had recovered from the initial cold shock I very much enjoyed them.
Cecconi’s was an incredible restaurant, especially if you follow a vegetarian or vegan diet. A lot of restaurants in Barcelona either didn’t have any vegetarian/vegan choices or they had a very limited choice, but Cecconi’s had a few choices to pick from and they were all super tasty aswell.
This restaurant is perfect for couples or groups of friends catching up. I wouldn’t suggest it for a family or a group with young children.
