Bar Canete is possibly one of the best tapas restaurants I have ever been too! Down a quiet side street from Las Ramblas in Barcelona is the very popular Bar Canete.

It may not look much from the outside but be sure to stop and check it out, there was a queue outside the restaurant before they had even opened. We went there under recommendation.

The inside is beautiful and quaint. We walked past the beautiful bar, through the kitchen (can confirm it was very clean!) to our table on the left side of the restaurant.

The staff were very helpful and gave us suggestions on what to order, we did order:

• Bellota Ham Croquette
• Cod Fritter
• Barceloneta’s bomba
• Green beans parmesan and pine nut salad
• Scrambled eggs with chorizo
• Mellow potato omelette
• Fried seasonal artichokes

This is some of the best food I have ever eaten and if you are only going to go to one tapas bar in Barcelona, ensure it is Bar Canete!
